As night falls, the distant roars of lions and the whispers of wild creatures create a symphony under the stars. Beauty and tranquility merge seamlessly, offering a peaceful escape that's still conveniently close to the city.

We own a peace of heaven: Our unique property has a 3-bed genuine Canadian log home, and a 2-bed Stone cottage built on our beautiful 57 000m² farm, nestled in the mountains.

We are situated high on the side of a koppie overlooking the Lion & Safari Park.

As this is a farm expect to see and hear lots of animals: Owls, Toads, Frogs, Jakal, Lions, hyenas, Zebra, fish eagles & barking Kudu!
Our roosters are also super friendly & add to the farm experience.
There are animals on the property - no outside animals allowed.
We are very close to Harteebspoort there are endless activities nearby!

Please Note: The drive up to the farm is a 1.7km sand road, there are also loads of speed humps/water drainage humps as well as occasional rocks. The road is not suitable for very low cars. If you have a supercar, sports car or modified lowered suspension you won't get to the property.

Mountain Canadian Log Home

Mountain Canadian Log Home is a beautiful cabin built on a 52 000 square-meter farm nestled in the mountains 5 km outside of Kalkheuwel. It is situated high on the side of a koppie overlooking the Lion and Safari Park and is situated close to Hartbeespoort.

This property can accommodate a total of 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom overlooks a mulberry tree that has amazing birdlife and is furnished with a king-size bed, while the other 2 bedrooms each have a double bed. A shower, washbasin and toilet are available in the bathroom. All linen and bath towels are provided; however, guests are required to bring their own swimming towels.

The living area features a kitchen equipped with a gas stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Leading from the kitchen is a lounge with comfy seating and a flat-screen TV (Guests can log ito streaming sites with their own accounts.) Access to Wi-Fi is available. Additionally, there is a cosy reading nook on the top level where guests can relax with a book.

Outside, there is a large covered patio with outdoor furniture, a dining table and a built-in braai. The property includes a wooden deck with a hot tub as well as a shallow splash pool. The garden stairs lead down to an outdoor braai space under the trees with a pizza oven. There are 4 swings and a monkey swing just outside the fenced-off area.

Romantic Stone Cottage

This Stone Cottage can accommodate 4 guests, and comprises 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. (Can be turned into a king bed as well)

A shower, washbasin, and toilet are available in the bathroom.

All linen and bath towels are provided.

The cosy living area features a kitchen fully equipped with a gas stove and oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery, and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Leading from the kitchen is a lounge with comfy seating and a lounge with comfy seating and a flat-screen TV (Guests can log ito streaming sites with their own accounts.) Access to Wi-Fi is available.

Through the double doors, there is a covered patio with an outdoor dining table and gas braai facilities.

To the outseide of the Stone Cottage guests have thier own private little boma with a fire pit and drum braai.

Guests are afforded secure parking on the property.

Please note this unit does not have access to the pool or jacuzzi.

If you are allergic to pets then please don't book.

• We have 2 farm cats: Rose and Thorn - they rid the house of all sorts of creepy crawls and rats – they were feral cats that were abused as kittens. We took them in 10 years ago. They live in the house and mind their own business.

• There are 2 very old dogs BB and Angel, Angel has very poor eyesight. She knows the farm very well, and maneuverers around freely. Please don’t feed them and if they are a problem Zeefa can keep them at his place. Angel and BB are good watchdogs and keep everyone alert for strange noises.

• There are free-roaming chickens. They don't come into any living areas, but they do crow (The rooster) and they do mate.
